Pre-bookings for the LG G5 start from tomorrow, while the Sony Xperia X, XA can be pre-registered today
LG and Sony have announced the registration dates for their upcoming smartphones. The LG G5 can be pre-booked via mobile store, LG brand shops, and Flipkart between May 21 and May 30. LG has also announced that those to pre-book the phone will get a LG Cam Plus for free. Those interested in purchasing the Sony Xperia X, and Xperia XA and pre-register via the company’s website.
The LG G5 was unveiled at MWC this year and sports a modular design. The phone features a 5.3-inch QHD LCD display and is powered by a Snapdragon 820 SoC with 4GB of RAM. The device offers 32GB of storage along with a 2800mAh battery. It also sports a dual-camera setup with 16MP and 8MP cameras, while at the front is an 8MP camera. The bottom panel of the phone slides open and lets users add a modular unit like the Cam Plus, or the Hi-Fi Plus. LG had previously announced that it was going to launch its flagship phone in the second quarter of 2016.
Like the G5, the Sony Xperia X and Xperia XA were also unveiled at MWC. The Xperia X features a 5-inch Full HD display and is powered by a Snapdragon 650 SoC with 3GB of RAM. It sports 23MP and 16MP cameras and is equipped with a 2620mAh battery. The single SIM variant of the phone offers 32GB of storage, while the dual-SIM variant offers 64GB of storage. The Sony Xperia XA on the other hand comes with a 5-inch HD display and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 SoC with 2GB of RAM. It features 13MP and 8MP cameras, and sports a 2300mAh battery.
