According to reports, the LG G4 will be priced around Rs. 50,000. At the official launch event, actor Amitabh Bachchan will handover the phone to some lucky buyers.
LG is set to launch its latest flagship smartphone LG G4 in India. The company has already listed the device on its official India page and is accepting pre-orders. Select buyers will get an entry to the official launch event and receive the phones from actor Amitabh Bachchan.
LG's latest G4 is successor to the G3 smartphone, which was launched last year. The LG G3 official launch event had also featured actor Amitabh Bachhan. Earlier, LG had run a try out campaign for the latest flagship G4. Under the campaign called #TryLGG4, the company allowed a select number of people try out the G4 for beta testing. With the new G4, LG is also offering a few benefits worth Rs. 12,000 – Free LG G4 Metallic Finish Back Cover worth Rs.2000 (inside box), Free One-Time Screen Replacement worth Rs.6500 and Free Extra Battery with Charging Cradle worth Rs. 3500.
The LG G4 has a 5.5-inch QHD (538 ppi) display. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 Processor with X10 LTE processor. The smartphone sports 16MP F1.8 with LDAF +OIS 2.0 rear camera and an 8MP Selfie Camera. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB eMMC card, microSD slot up to 2TB of storage. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, Bluetooth 4.1 LE (APT-x), USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, A-GPS, Glonass, HDMI, SlimPort(4K) and NFC. LG's last flagship was quite impressive. In our detailed review, we liked the build quality, camera quality and overall performance. However, the phone could have been priced little lower to become a more competitive device. LG's latest flagship smartphone will compete with other flagship smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S6, HTC One M9, Sony Xperia Z4 and Apple's forthcoming iPhone. We hope LG will price the G4 aggressively. According to a Mumbai-based retailer, the G4 will be priced around Rs. 51,500 while an e-commerce website has priced the phone for Rs. 49,999.
