LG G4 spotted before official launch, leather back revealed
We may be looking at pictures of a final LG G4 smartphone that is scheduled to be officially launched by the company on April 28.
LG may have inadvertently revealed its latest flagship smartphone, LG G4, ahead of the official launch. Spotted by Evan Blass, man behind @evleaks, an unannounced LG Korea product microsite featured high resolution images of what is believed to be the G4.
Along with the images, the site also had a spec list, but is believed to be not updated. Specifications listed on the site such as Android 4.4 KitKat and 13MP resolution aren't believed to be correct as per previous rumours about the phone. However, the f/1.8 aperture for the camera, as listed in the spec list, has already been confirmed by LG in one of its teasers.
LG has already confirmed the phone will come with a 5.5 QHD display and run custom UX 4.0 software. The phone will come with a 16MP camera, 3 or 4GB of RAM.
Speaking of the leaked images, the next LG flagship may come with leather or leather faux back panels. It is believed the phones may come with replaceable back panels.
More concrete information will be out on April 28 when LG officially launches the LG G4. LG's new smartphone will compete with other existing and future flagship phones in the market such as the Galaxy S6, HTC One M9 and Xperia Z4. There are possibilities LG may launch other variants of the phone as well. It is believed the LG G4 could be reference for the next generation Nexus smartphone.
