LG is preparing for a LG G3 "prime" launch and LG launches LG G3 "mini" in China

LG's new flagship- the G3 is not yet available globally but the Korean phonemaker is rumoured to be preparing for its successor- the LG G3 Prime. The LG G3 Prime will be an upgrade from the yet to be released LG G3. The phone will have a Snapdragon 805 SoC instead of a Snapdragon 801.

It might turn out that the device in question may not see a global launch for a while as Korean manufacturers tend to launch their devices in their country's market first and then roll them out globally. So, it is likely that the LG G3 will be heading to South Korean markets first .

LG also revealed the G3 Beat in China at a trade exhibition this week. The phone looks similar to the G3 in almost every respect except it sports a 720p display instead of a 2K display like the LG G3, and could be the oft-rumoured G3 Mini. The phone is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 CPU and 2GB RAM. The G3 Beat also has 16 GB internal memory, an 8 MP rear camera and dual-SIM support. FOr the time being, it will be availble via China telecom at around $400 (Rs. 24,000 approx.).
