LG G3 might come with a QHD screen: Rumors

LG's next flagship smartphone G3 could come with a 5.5 inch QHD display and a 13 MP rear camera.

According to rumors, LG’s next flagship smartphone, the G3 might come with a QHD screen. A User Agent Profile listed on one of LG’s sites confirms the rumors. According to UA Prof the LG D850 has a Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) display.

@evleaks also mentions the LG G3 on his Twitter account. @evleaks talks about a smartphone codenamed LG D850 and reminds us that “D800 was G2, D820 was Nexus 5, and D830 was G Pro 2.” The G3 is expected to measure 5.5 inches and come with a 534ppi density. It will pack a 13 MP primary shooter according to reports.

According to Korean publication ETNews, the LG G3 will be water and dust proof, similar to Samsung S5 and Sony Xperia Z2 revealed earlier this year. The Samsung Galaxy S5 and Xperia Z2 were both supposed to have the QHD resolution but the rumors were not true. The LG G3 is expected to be launched in May or June this year.

LG has already unveiled its high end LG Pro 2 this year. The LG G Pro 2 has a 5.9-inch full HD IPS display. It runs on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box and has a 2.26 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. The G Pro 2 has a 13MP rear camera and 2.1 MP front camera for video calling. It is available in 16GB and 32GB storage variants coupled with 3GB DDR3 RAM. Connectivity wise the LG G Pro 2 supports Bluetooth BT 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, USB, NFC and SlimPort.
