LG G2 Android smartphone launched in India for Rs. 41,500
LG' s highly anticipated flagship smartphone, the G2 has finally been launched in India. The phone packs some impressive features, however its design is the factor that sets it apart from other flagships.
The LG G2, the highly anticipated Android smartphone from LG, has finally been launched in India at Rs.41,500 for the 16GB variant and Rs. 44,500 for the 32GB variant, packing some impressive features and a unique design.
The LG G2 has a 5.2 inch display, which according to LG, is the largest display that’s operable by a single hand. This they have managed to achieve by minimizing the bezel (a mere 2.5 mm). The screen itself is an IPS panel with a display resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The phone also packs the much anticipated Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with its four-cores clocked at a whopping 2.2 GHz along with 2GB of RAM. The phone comes with 16/32 GB of on-board storage along with a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 2.1 megapixel front facing camera.
Now let’s get on to the most unique aspect of the phone- its design. LG has tried to change the design module we are so used to, and placed the home and volume buttons on the G2’s back. This, the company says, is because the back of the phone is where the users’ hands and fingers rest more naturally. It should be interesting to see just how intuitive the buttons are and how much of a learning curve it calls for to get accustomed to the new design.
The smartphone is already available for pre-order via online retailer Saholic.com. It will be available in two colours- Black and White.
