The maker of the iPad’s 9.7-inch IPS LCD display, LG Electronics, has revealed that it will not be able to keep up with the truly awesome demand for Apple’s tablet. LG CEO, Kwon Young-Soo admitted this, and suggested that “Apple may have to [further] delay launches of the iPad for some countries due to tight component supplies and strong demand”.
He went on to say that even if LG increased its production capacity, it would take some time, with supply shortage only expected to diminish by early 2011. So, while the nations in the second wave have managed to get their iPads, it certainly looks as if the rest of the world will have to wait it out for a while, including India.
