LG has announced a Quick Cover case for its upcoming flagship smartphone, the G5 which, in the company’s own words, “does not yet exist.” The case comes with a small window that shows a part of a phone’s screen and displays the time and notifications. The case itself is made using a semitransparent mesh cover, which enables users to take calls and control alarm settings without the need to open the case. LG says that the case “incorporates a unique film with a glossy metallic finish to enhance the smooth and luxurious look and feel of the cover for maximum consistency with the speculative LG G5.”
Yesterday, the company confirmed that the LG G5 would come with an ‘Always ON’ display. The feature will allow users to see notifications such as missed calls, messages, or emails without turning on the whole screen. The device will be unveiled on February 21 during the World Mobile Congress event in Barcelona. The LG G5 has been tipped to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and a dual camera setup at the back with a power button/fingerprint sensor located below it. Reports suggest that LG may have moved the volume rocker from the rear to the side of the phone.
