Lenovo may not be among the top five brands when it comes to smartphones, but it is certainly one of the companies that leading innovation in the industry. Lenovo was the first company to launch a phone with 12GB of RAM in the form of the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT. Now, the company looks to be planning new features in the form of a ‘Hyper Vision’ camera sensor to record ‘Hyper Videos’ in the Lenovo Z6 Pro. Chang Cheng, Vice President of Lenovo Group, has shared a poster on Weibo announcing the launch of the Z6 Pro.

Previously, it was reported that the phone would launch sometime in June. Currently, nothing much is known about the phone’s technology and we’re hoping that the company will provide the details on it during the launch. The ‘hyper vision’ camera and ‘hyper videos’ are seen as the marketing terms for high-quality shooting capabilities but we don't yet know what exactly the features will do. The phone was supposed to make an appearance at MWC 2019 in Barcelona, but we didn't get to see it on the showfloor.

However, at MWC, Lenovo's representative said that in the next decade, video will dominate the industry and cameras will become more powerful with 100MP sensors. Recently, Qualcomm’s Senior Director of Product Management, Judd Heape, told Digit.in that camera sensor vendors are already working on higher megapixel sensors due to launch later this year. He also said that the chipmaker is expecting devices implementing the large-format sensors in 2020.

Now coming back to the phone, it is also speculated that the Lenovo Z6 Pro could also come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor and include the X50 modem to provide 5G capabilities to the phone. The non-5G variant could also come in tow. Last year’s Lenovo Z5 Pro featured the Snapdragon 710, while the Z5 Pro GT was the first phone with 12GB RAM. In February, Chinese software benchmarking platform AnTuTu released a list of top 10 best performing phones for the month and the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT got the second spot scoring 353,469 points on benchmarking tests.
