Lenovo Z2 Plus gets a price cut, now priced at Rs. 14,999

Lenovo has slashed the price of the 3GB RAM variant of its Z2 Plus smartphone. The device is now priced at Rs. 14,999, and is the first sub-Rs. 15,000 smartphone to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC. Further, the device will now be available on Flipkart, too. The 4GB RAM/64GB storage version of the phone will now be available in retail stores as well.

After launching as the ZUK Z2 in China, Lenovo launched the device as the Lenovo Z2 Plus in India in September, with prices starting at Rs. 17,999. The device sports a 5-inch Full HD display and offers 13MP and 8MP cameras. The phone is equipped with a 3500mAh battery and runs Android Marshmallow. The home button of the phone houses the fingerprint sensor, and can be used to perform multiple gestures and open shortcuts.

The price cut comes just a few days before Xiaomi is expected to launch the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 in India. The device will replace the popular Redmi Note 3. The Note 4 was launched in China last year and sports a 5.5-inch Full HD. display. While the Chinese variant is powered by a MediaTek Helio X20 SoC, the Indian variant is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon SoC.
