Lenovo Vibe Z to start shipping in February with a price tag of $549
Lenovo has officially announced that their latest LTE smartphone, the Vibe Z (K910) will be available from February and will cost $549. The smartphone runs on a Snapdragon 800 processor and has a 5.5 inch full-HD display.
We first heard about the Lenovo Vibe Z back in October where the company revealed its specifications and features. However, there was no confirmation about the price and availability of the smartphone. Today, we are hearing that Lenovo has officially announced the price for the LTE smartphone, and also said it will be available from February in selected countries.
The Vibe Z has some impressive specs which include a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display, a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean), a 13MP rear camera with Sony Exmor RS sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and dual LED flash, a 5MP front camera with 84 degree wide viewing angle and f/2.2 aperture, 4G LTE and 3G radio, 16GB of internal memory and a 3,000mAh battery. The smartphone is said to be slim at just 7.9mm and weighs just 147gms — which is quite good for a device that has a 5.5-inch display.
The Vibe Z has been priced at $549 (somewhere about Rs.34,000) and will be available in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and the Philippines from February 2014. Just last month Lenovo had launched the Vibe X smartphone in India at a price of Rs. 25,999 with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM and 5 inch full HD display.
