Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is the first smartphone to support Google's Tango-based AR technology
Lenovo has launched the Phab 2 Pro, the first Google Tango-based smartphone, in India. The Lenovo Phab 2 Pro comes with dedicated sensors based on Google's Tango technology to enable augmented reality experience on a smartphone. The Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is priced at Rs 29,990 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart.
Specs-wise, the Phab 2 Pro features a 6.4-inch Quad HD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC, coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The smartphone also supports expandable storage of up to 128GB via dedicated microSD card slot.
The Phab 2 Pro sports a 16MP primary camera with phase detection autofocus and an 8MP front camera. It has an additional depth sensor and motion tracking sensor for Tango-enabled applications. With the help of these sensors, the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro can visualise and understand its environment and thus augment virtual objects in the real world. The Lenovo Phab 2 Pro can be used for augmented reality, beyond Pokemon Go.
The Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is backed by a 4050mAh battery and supports Qualcomm's Quick Charge technology. The Dual-SIM smartphone supports LTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and includes 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone features a unibody metal design and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Phab 2 Pro features a rear fingerprint sensor and supports Dolby Atmos for audio playback. It is available exclusively on Flipkart in gold colour option.
