Lenovo Moto M India launch confirmed for December 13

Lenovo Moto M is a metal-clad version of Moto G4 Plus powered by Snapdragon 617 processor

Lenovo will announce Moto M, the metal variant of Moto G4 Plus on December 13. The company has started sending out media invites for an event in Mumbai, where it would be announcing Moto M smartphone for Indian market.

Moto M is the premium variant of Moto G4 Plus, the mid-range smartphone in Motorola's portfolio. The smartphone offers specifications similar to Moto G4 Plus but everything is packed in metal chassis. Lenovo Moto M was released in China in November.

Moto M features a 5.5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display and not IPS LCD seen on Moto G4 Plus. The device is powered by same Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor and comes in option of 3 or 4GB RAM. The 3GB RAM variant comes with 32GB storage while the 4GB RAM offers 64GB memory.

Lenovo Moto M also sports the same 16MP primary camera like G4 Plus with phase detection autofocus and f/2.0 aperture. The secondary camera is an 8MP unit with 1.12 micron pixel size. The Moto M features rear fingerprint sensor and uses USB-C port for data and charging. Moto M is 7.9mm thick and weighs around 163 grams.Moto M is water resistant and houses a non-removable 3050mAh battery. 

The smartphone supports turbo charging and will likely be available in Gold, Gray and Silver colour variants. The smartphone was announced in China at 1,999 Yuan (approximately Rs 19,999) but expect Lenovo to be competitive with the pricing.
