In the recent past we have seen a number of smartphones launch in India by Motorola including the Moto G Turbo, Moto X Style, and more. Lenovo on the other hand has launched smartphones like the Lenovo Vibe P1, Vibe S1, K4 Note and more. The company is launching another device called the Moto X Force (also known as the Droid Turbo 2 in U.S.) in India. The phone features a "shatter-proof" display and will be Moto's next flagship in India.

Lenovo & Moto also have plans to 'Make In India'  out of its manufacturing plant in Sriperumbudur, Chennai. Moto E units are already rolling out of the Chennai plant, while Lenovo has stated that its K3 Note will follow soon. The plant presently has a 6 million units manufacturing capacity, with Lenovo projecting a target of 14 million units manufacturing capacity in 2016.

As far as the Canalys' report is concerned, Samsung bagged the number one position in India's smartphone market, followed by Micromax, which found itself at number Two with a 20% decline in shipments.
