Chinese-American technology multinational Lenovo officially revealed the specs of its highly anticipated Legion Y90 gaming smartphone, the latest in its portfolio, on February 9, 2022.
The smartphone has been making headlines for several weeks now. The company already revealed its design in a teaser video and a leak, which revealed several key specifications.
Most of the specifications mentioned in the leak were confirmed when Lin Lin, Product Manager at Lenovo, shared a screenshot of the device's 'About Phone' page on Weibo.
According to the screenshot, the Lenovo Legion Y90 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, with 18 GB of LPDDR5 built-in physical RAM and 4 GB of virtual RAM.
The device will have a dual-channel 640 GB UFS 3.1 internal memory storage capacity, with a 512 GB + 128GB SSD configuration.
The Lenovo Legion Y90 will run ZUI 13, based on Android 12, out of the box.
The device features a massive 6.92-inch E4 Samsung AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate along with a 720Hz touch sampling rate.
It will come equipped with a 64-megapixel OV64A 1/1.32 primary lens along with a 16-megapixel ultrawide lens at the rear. On the front, the device will feature a Samsung 44MP GH1 selfie camera.
The Lenovo Legion Y90 will be powered by a 5,600mAh battery, which supports 68W fast charging. The executive who shared the screenshot claimed that the Legion Y90, on standby mode for 8 days, lost only 22 percent of its battery, and remained at a low temperature of 19 degrees celsius.
Since the Legion Y90 is a smartphone primarily meant for gaming, it will also be equipped with dual Frost Blade 3.0 symmetric cooling fans with RGB lights, a liquid cooling system, four dedicated gaming buttons on its shoulder, as well as two capacitive buttons on the back. It will also come with dual stereo speakers which support Dolby Atmos. The device will also feature double X-axis motors for haptics.
Details of the Lenovo Legion Y90’s launch date, price and availability in China as well as other international markets, however, remain unknown as they have not been revealed by the company yet. More is expected on the same in the coming few days.
