Lenovo is set to launch a new phone in the form of the Legion Y70, and ahead of its launch, the company has teased the device online, revealing crucial details about the phone, along with confirming the launch window of the device. The company has announced that the Lenovo Y70 will launch in August.
The company has revealed through a teaser the design of the device, with 50-megapixel triple rear camera module. The teaser also shows the rear camera of Legion Y70 will feature OIS and support for 8K video recording. Further, the teaser shows the handset in Silver, with the design detail showing the phone will feature a flat rear panel and sides.
Apart from this, the company has teased the device to have a thin and light design, and the phone to offer powerful performance. The device has previously been listed on Geekbench and CMIIT certification sit, revealing key details about the specifications of the phone. As per the listings, the Lenovo Legion Y70 will likely be equipped with a 6.67-inch OLED panel with a fixed resolution of 2400×1080.
Underneath the hood, there is expected to be a 3.0GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chip, however, the Geekbench listing of the device shows it could be a 3.2GHz Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 Soc. This could be paired with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
The device is expected to have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and be 7.99mm thick and weigh 205g. The phone is expected to be made available in two color options- grey and silver. For cameras, the Legion Y70 will have a rear 50-megapixel triple camera with support for 8K video recording. Lights on the device will be kept on by a 4880mAh battery pack with support for 68W fast charging.
