HIGHLIGHTS

The Lenovo A7000 is powered by a MediaTek MT6752 SoC, with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

Lenovo has launched its A7000 Turbo smartphone today in India. This is Lenovo's second phone launch in India in 2016, after the Vibe K4 Note. The new A7000 Turbo is an update to the older A7000, which was launched in April 2015. The older variant was priced under 10k (Rs. 8,999), but the Lenovo A7000 Turbo has been priced at Rs. 10,999. It is now available for purchase via Lenovo’s online store. The new phone comes with an octa-core processor, which is more powerful from the one used on the A7000.

The Lenovo A7000 Turbo offers a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display. The newly-launched phone is powered by the Mediatek MT6752 chipset, which Lenovo previously used in the K3 Note. The 1.7GHz octa-core processor is coupled with Mali-T760 GPU. The phone comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. It supports external storage of upto 32GB. There is a 13MP rear camera, which is aided by dual-LED flash. The camera uses an Omnivision OV13850 sensor, with f/2.0 aperture. At the front, the phone uses a 5MP camera, powered by an Omnivision OV5670 camera sensor. It has a maximum aperture of f/2.2.

The Lenovo A7000 Turbo comes with Android Lollipop out of the box, layered with Lenovo’s Vibe UI 2.0. There is a 2900mAh battery on-board, the speaker is Dolby Atmos-enabled, and the phone supports OTG v2. It is a dual-SIM phone, and comes with support for 4G, LTE+LTE (Dual Standby). It is only available in matt black colour variant. Overall, the spec sheet of the A7000 Turbo is quite similar to the Lenovo K3 Note. The recently-launched Vibe K4 note offers better features, and is priced very competitively at just Rs. 11,999. However, it is available via flash sales on Amazon India.

Coming back to the A7000 Turbo, we expect the phone to be available on other e-commerce websites and offline retail stores, in the coming weeks.

Lenovo has been in the news recently for more than its phone launches. The electronics giant recently launched tons of new products, including 14 new laptops, at CES 2016. A new Vibe S1 lite smartphone was also launched at CES.
