Lenovo K8 Note, the first smartphone from the company to adopt stock Android, will go on its first sale today at 12 noon. The smartphone is exclusively available on Amazon India and is priced at Rs 12,999. As part of launch offer, Amazon India is offering Rs 300 promotional credit to e-books on Kindle app while Idea Cellular is offering 64GB 4G data and unlimited calls for 56 days at Rs 343. Lenovo K8 Note buyers also get an option to buy Motorola's sports headphone at a discounted price of Rs 699.

The Lenovo K8 Note is a comeback device for the company, which has lost significant market share to Xiaomi in the midrange and entry level segment. Lenovo has dropped from being the second largest smartphone brand in India to the fifth position in the last few quarters. The Lenovo K8 Note is built using metal and polycarbonate material and offers splash resistance.

In terms of specifications, the handset sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. While most smartphones in this price range use Qualcomm chipset, the K8 Note is powered by MediaTek's deca-core Helio X23 chipset clocked at 2.3GHz. The handset comes in two storage variants: 3GB RAM model with 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM variant with 64GB storage. The handset also supports expandable storage up to 128GB via SD card slot.

On the camera front, Lenovo K8 Note sports a combination of 13MP + 5MP dual rear camera setup. The secondary 5MP sensor is used to produce a depth of field effect. The handset also features a 13MP front camera with dedicated flash. The smartphone ditches the Vibe UI in favour of stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat and offers a rear fingerprint sensor. The handset supports dual-band WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and 4G LTE. The handset supports Dolby Atmos audio and TheaterMax for virtual video experience. The smartphone is backed by a 4000mAh battery and is available in venom black and fine gold colour.
