Lenovo is set to launch its newest K series smartphone, the Lenovo K6 Power on Monday November 29 according to the press invites sent out by the Chinese tech major. The Chinese tech manufacturer had first announced the impending launch of the K6, K6 Plus andK6 Power at IFA 2016 in September. It has since been teasing about the launch of the device with its twitter handle recently tweeting "We know, you can't get enough of the K series." The company also posted a series of tweets with the hashtag #KickassPower hinting at the upcoming launch of the K6 Power.
The Lenovo K6 Power sports a 5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display. Running on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor which is clocked at 1.4GHz frequency. The camera setup includes a 13MP rear camera with PDAF (phase detection autofocus) and LED flash and a front facing 8MP camera for selfies. The device will be available to the public in two variants – a 2GB RAM model with 16GB internal storage and a 3GB RAM model offering 32GB internal storage. The company has also announced the device will be offered in three colours – silver, gold and dark grey.
Other features on the device include a rear fingerprint sensor and support for Dolby Atmos audiot. The phone also offers active noise cancellation with dedicated mic and a 3.5mm headphone jack. All this is backed by a non-removable 4000mAh battery. The company claims that the battery on the device can last through 312 hours in standby.
Lenovo has recently emerged as the second largest smartphone brand in terms of shipments in India. With a string of new releases the company hopes to maintain the momentum.
