Lenovo announces A2010, most affordable 4G LTE phone in India

Lenovo A2010 has been priced at Rs. 4,990. It is available exclusively on Flipkart and registrations start from today and sales will start from September 3.

Lenovo has introduced A2010 which it claims to be the most affordable 4G LTE supported smartphone in India. The smartphone supports both FDD and TDD bands. It is a dual SIM phone and has been priced at Rs. 4,990.

Lenovo A2010 is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor clocked at 1GHz and 1GB RAM. It has a 4.5-inch display and 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. As for the camera, the phone has a 5MP rear shooter with a flash and a 2MP front shooter. It also comes with 2000mAh battery, runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box, and will be available in a white as well as a black variant.

The device is available exclusively on Flipkart. Registrations for the device have started from today and sales for the black variant will start from September 3.

Lenovo A2010 is directly competing with Phicomm Energy 653 for the crown of the most affordable smarphone in India. The latter also offers 4G LTE in India, but at a price of Rs. 4,999. The Phicomm device comes with 5-inch HD display, 1.1GHz Snapdragon 210 SoC with 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage expandable up to 64GB, 8MP and 2MP cameras. It has a 2230mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1.

Recently, Lenovo and Motorola has also announced their commitment for the 'Make in India' movement via their manufacturing plant in Chennai. Currently, the Moto E gets manufactured there while Lenovo K3 Note will follow soon.
