Lenovo A6000 LTE smartphone launched in India at Rs. 6,999

Lenovo now eyes the budget smartphone segment with its latest A6000. Interestingly, the company has adopted the flash sale model for the A6000. The smartphone will be a Flipkart exclusive.

Lenovo has officially unveiled its latest affordable LTE smartphone – A6000 – in India. Priced at Rs. 6999, the smartphone will be exclusively available through Flipkart. The company has adopted the flash sale model for the new smartphone, registrations open today, 6pm. First sale will be held on January 28.

Lenovo had recently unveiled the A6000 at the recently held CES 2015. The smartphone comes with a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display. It is runs Android 4.4 KitKat (upgradable to Lollipop though no timeline given) and is powered by a a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core 64-bit processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB built

The A6000 features an 8MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing camera. Connectivity options include LTE, dual-SIM, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. The features dual speakers with Dolby Digital Plus technology. It is powered by a 2,300mAh battery.

The Lenovo A6000 will be competing against Xiaomi's latest Redmi 2, which features Qualcomm's latest 64-bit 410 Snapdragon chipset with its quad-cores clocked at 1.2GHz. The CPU is coupled with the Adreno 306 GPU and 1GB of RAM. On the memory side the phone has 8GB internal storage, which can be upgraded with a 32GB microSD card. According to reports, the Redmi 2 will be priced around Rs. 7,000.
