LeEco Le 2s leaks point to 8GB RAM, Snapdragon 821 SoC
Too good to be true?
LeEco might be preparing to launch an upgraded variant of the Le 2 smartphone. However, if reports are to be believed, the new phone might be able to blow other flagship devices out of the water (at least in terms of specifications). GizChina has posted images that allegedly show the Le 2s and judging by the images, the phone may look very similar to the Le 2, but with white bezels. The report also speculates that the phone might come with a Snapdragon 821 SoC and a whopping 8GB of RAM! If true, then this might make it the most powerful smartphone in the world.
Of course, there are a number of reasons why one should take this news with a pinch of salt. The fact that it is very unlikely that LeEco would upgrade the Le 2, which has 3GB RAM and a Snapdragon 652 SoC, all the way up to 8GB of RAM and Snapdragon 821 in one go. Further, these specifications would make the phone even more powerful than LeEco’s current flagship, the Le Max2. However, the specifications mentioned in the report might be of the next LeEco flagship phone.
There were also reports that LeEco’s next smartphone might come with a dual-camera setup. A couple of months ago, a leaked image allegedly showing the rear panel of a LeEco phone was leaked online. The image showed the cut-out for the dual-lens. Under the camera module is a cutout for the fingerprint sensor. There were also reports that Samsung was supplying dual-camera modules to LeEco, Xiaomi and Oppo.
