LeEco is holding an event on June 8 in India where it is expected to launch the Le Max 2 and Le 2 smartphones in the country. However, the Le 2 is already listed on eBay India, albeit unofficially. A retailer is selling limited quantities of the smartphone, priced at Rs. 19,999. It is also quite possible that the official price of the phone may be lower than this. Another thing to keep in mind when purchasing the device is that this will most likely be the Chinese variant of the phone, and it is not known if it will be compatible with LeEco’s content ecosystem in India.
The LeEco Le 2 was unveiled in China last month alongside the Le 2 Pro and Le Max 2. The Le 2 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display, and is powered by a deca-core Helio X20 SoC with 3GB of RAM. The phone features 16MP and 8MP cameras, and offers 32GB of internal storage with no expandable options. The device also sports a 3000mAh battery, and runs on Android Marshmallow v6.0. It may also be paired with LeEco's content ecosystem, similar to what it offers with the Le 1s Eco. The company has partnered with Eros Now, Yupp TV and Hungama to offer movies and live TV to its subscribers.
