Leaked Xperia Z Ultra screenshots tip 6.44-inch display, Snapdragon 800 CPU

More information about the Sony Xperia Z Ultra surfaces ahead of official July 4 announcement.

Alleged screenshots taken by what’s believed to be a prototype of Sony’s Xperia Z Ultra have surfaced on the web. The leak confirms previously leaked specifications of the device, codenamed Togari. The phablet is expected to made official on July 4.

The alleged screenshots show the device sports a 6.44-inch display with 1080p resolution. It also confirms the Xperia Z Ultra is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8974 (Snapdragon 800) chipset along with Adreno 330 graphics. It runs the latest Android v4.2.2 firmware. Other specifications include 2GB of RAM, 16GB built-in storage and microSD.

Last round of leaks showed Sony Xperia Z Ultra’s Nexus-like onscreen buttons. The phablet was teased by Sony in its invitation for July 4 event. The phablet is expected to be water-resistant like the flagship Xperia Z handset.

Sony’s Xperia Z Ultra is expected to take on Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2 as well as its newly launched Mega-series phablets.
