Leaked Xiaomi Redmi 4 images suggest metal unibody design, fingerprint scanner
The device was also spotted on Chinese certification website, TENAA a few days ago and is tipped to sport a 5-inch FHD display
After launching the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 in China last month, it seems like the company may be planning to launch the Redmi 4 soon. After popping up on Chinese certification website TENAA, a few days ago, a Weibo user has posted images allegedly of the Redmi 4 on his page. As per the images, the Redmi 4 will feature a metal unibody design similar to the Redmi Note 4. The only difference seems to be in the position of the flash. Instead of being in the between the rear camera and the fingerprint sensor, like in the Redmi Note 4, the Redmi 4’s flash is located on the side of the camera.
As per the listing on TENAA, the phone features a 5-inch FHD display and is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM. The device is tipped have a 4000mAH battery and offer a 32GB of onboard storage. The phone is expected to feature 13MP and 5MP cameras, and run Android Marshmallow v6.0.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features a 5.5-inch FHD display and is powered by a MediaTek Helio X20 SoC. It offers a 4100mAh battery and sports a 13MP rear camera. The phone is available in two variants. The 16GB variant is priced at CNY 899 (approx. Rs. 9,000), while the 64GB variant is priced at CNY 1,199 (approx. Rs. 12,000). The Redmi Note 4’s predecessor, the Redmi Note 3 was launched in India earlier this year.
