Leaked specs of mid-range HTC 608t indicate quad-core CPU

Leaked information on the Internet suggests that the HTC 608t will have a quad-core processor, run on Android and sport a 4.5-inch qHD display

If information on the Internet is to be believed, then HTC is working on a quad-core smartphone with a 4.5-inch display, currently known as the HTC 608t. The clock speed of the processor isn’t known nor do we know any details about the SoC. It could be a Snapdragon SoC or the MediaTek MT6589, the same one powering the Canvas HD and other budget smartphones that have launched in India.

It is also expected to sport a 4.5-inch qHD display, an 8MP rear camera and a 1.6MP front facing camera for video calling. In terms of connectivity options, the HTC 608t will have support Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. There is no information whether the device will support 4G. The leak comes from a Chinese website which has led us to believe that the smartphone will launch in China first. There is no information about any release date or price. There is also no information about the Android version powering the smartphone.

Recently, we have also seen information circulating the Internet, which suggests that the HTC will launch a dual-SIM smartphone with the UltraPixel camera called the HTC 606w. The UltraPixel camera made its debut with HTC’s flagship smartphone, the HTC One. The 606w is said to have a dual-core snapdragon processor along with 1GB of RAM and the Adreno 305 GPU.
