After Samsung and LG, it seems like Sony will be the next major company to launch a device that’s tall and narrow. Renders of a device tipped to be called the Sony Xperia X Ultra have been leaked by MobileXpose. As per its report, the device sports an ultra wide 6.45-inch display with a screen aspect ratio of 21:9. By comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S8 sports an 18.5:9 aspect ratio, while the LG G6 has a 18:9 aspect ratio.
As per the report, the Sony Xperia X Ultra may be powered by Qualcomm’s rumoured Snapdragon 660 platform with 4GB of RAM. It is tipped to offer 64GB of storage and run Android Nougat v7.0. The device is expected to come with a 3050mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. It's also expected to offer IP68 certification for dust and water resistant. At the back, the device is said to come with a 19MP rear and 13MP front camera. This is the same camera configuration as the new Sony Xperia XZ Premium, suggesting that the Xperia X Ultra may also offer 960fps super slow motion videos.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium is not yet available in India, but the company did launch the Xperia XZs in the country. While the Xperia XZs did not come with Snapdragon 835 or a 4K display, the device did offer 960fps super slow motion camera. You can read our review of the device here.
