Leaked screenshot shows Microsoft Lumia 950XL running Snapdragon 810
The screenshot shows the device running Build 10547 of Windows 10 Insider Preview with 3GB RAM and QHD display
A screenshot, claiming to be of Microsoft’s upcoming flagship phone, the Lumia 950, has leaked on Weibo. The image is in tandem with some of previous rumours relating to the device. As per the screenshot, the device will have 3GB of RAM, a Quad HD display, and will be powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor. The device was also running Build 10547 of Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview, currently under testing in the Insider's Fast Ring.
Microsoft has announced that it is holding an event on October 6 in New York City. It is expected to launch multiple devices at the event, namely the Lumia 950 and 950XL, Surface Pro 4 and Band 2. Earlier rumours have suggested that the 950XL will come with a 5.7-inch display, 32GB internal storage, and will have a 3300mAh battery. The Lumia 950, on the other hand, is expected to come with a smaller, 5.2-inch Quad HD display. It is tipped to be powered by a Snapdragon 808 processor and may have a 3000mAh battery. Both the devices may feature 20MP PureView cameras, USB Type-C ports, and Qi wireless charging.
Earlier this week, a Spanish retailer had apparently leaked prices of the Lumia 950XL and the Lumia 950, which were at EUR 749 (approx. Rs. 54,900) and EUR 659 (approx. Rs. 48,300), respectively. Both the phones might come with EUR 200 worth of accessories like wireless charger, Bluetooth speaker, and a Continuum docking station.
Press images of an entry-level Lumia 550 had also surfaced a few days ago. Rumours suggest that it will have a 4.7-inch 720p AMOLED display, and will be powered by a Snapdragon 210 processor. It is expected to have 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, along with Cat. 4 LTE support. It is also tipped to have a 5MP camera at the back with a 2MP front camera, and may even feature an iris scanner. The Lumia 550 is expected to cost about Rs. 9,000.
Images of the Microsoft Band 2 had also leaked a few days ago. The device is expected to come with a GPS sensor, microphone, ambient light sensors, UV sensor, an accelerometer and galvanic skin response sensors.
