Leaked case images suggest Google Pixel 2, Google Pixel 2 XL to sport a single rear camera
The leaked Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL designs suggest a near bezel-less screen and a single rear camera instead of dual cameras. The removal of a 3.5mm jack can’t be confirmed yet as the leaks do not show the top and bottom of the phone.
Amidst the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and the anniversary iPhone 8, let's not forget the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. Alleged images have surfaced online, hinting at the design of the smartphones, As per Forbes, these Images have been posted by the case maker Olixar. The images show a design not much dissimilar to the first-generation Pixel smartphones. It could mean that Google may continue to make the Pixel phones.
While there’s time for the official launch of the phones, Forbes reminds that case-maker Olixar has had a stellar track record of revealing smartphone designs ahead of launch. It correctly predicted the designs of the Galaxy S8 and the iPhone 7. Olixar has also put up the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL cases for preorder from a starting price of $5.99 (Rs 380 approx). Mobilefun has also listed the case on its website adding further fuel to the rumors.
As per the latest rumours, the Pixel 2 may lose the beloved headphone jack and might have a near bezel-less screen, while the fingerprint sensor may stay at the rear. The Pixel 2 could be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 836 platform, while still lacking the dual camera setup as per the latest leaks. The Pixel 2 is rumoured to come equipped with a 5-inch Full HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display while the Pixel 2XL is rumoured to have a larger display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The screen may also be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both the devices. As per the leaks, the Google Pixel 2 may run on Android 7.1.1 OS and could sport a 3000 mAh battery, while featuring a single SIM slot.
