Lava has added another smartphone to its Iris series – Lava Iris Pro 20. Priced at Rs. 13,999, the Lava smartphone has a slim design with 7.7mm thickness. It comes with a 2,000mAh battery with Content-adaptive backlight control (CABC) power saving technology, which is supposed to deliver 30% more back up as compared to conventional smartphone batteries.
The Lava Iris Pro 20 has a 4.7-inch display with 540 x 940 pixels resolution. The display is layered with Corning Gorilla Glass 2. The smartphone runs Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.
The Lava Iris Pro 20 has 4GB of ROM and supports 32GB expandable storage via microSD. It has 8MP Auto Focus back camera with LED flash light and Zero Shutter Lag (ZSL) providing various modes such as HDR and Panorama. There’s a VGA front camera.
In terms of connectivity, the smartphone supports GPRS, EDGE, 3G, OTG support, USB, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The Iris Pro comes preloaded with various Google apps such as Google Talk, YouTube, Gmail, Google Search, Google Play and Google Maps. Explaining the CABC feature, Lava says in its release: “CABC (Content Adaptive backlight control) technology enables it to last 30% more compared to conventional smartphone batteries. The technology makes the backlight brighter or dimmer depending on the image being displayed ensuring reduced battery consumption.”
