Lava has launched the successor of Lava Blaze 2 in India, namely the Lava Blaze 2 5G. By name, the smartphone is very similar but it is completely different in terms of design and hardware as well. One of the standout features of this smartphone is a ‘Ring Light’ on the back. This ring light can be used to indicate the notifications and charging. Further, it has a glass back panel and a circular camera module.

The Lava Blaze 2 5G comes with a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display that supports a 90Hz refresh rate. The display comes with a 720 x 1440 pixels pixels resolution. Further, it has 450 nits of peak brightness.
On the other hand, the Redmi 12 5G is equipped with a 6.79-inch 90Hz IPS LCD display. This display supports 1080 x 2460 pixels resolution and has 550 nits of peak brightness.

The Lava Blaze 2 5G is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6020 processor that is paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The smartphone comes with Android 13 OS out of the box but is upgradable to Android 14 OS.
However, the Redmi 12 5G comes equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. This smartphone offers up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Redmi 12 5G runs on Android 13-based MIUI 14 OS.
The Lava Blaze 2 5G is equipped with a dual camera setup holding a 50-megapixel main camera and a VGA sensor. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter.
The Redmi 12 5G comes with a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel Depth sensor on the back. For selfies, it has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

Both smartphones are powered by a 5000mAh battery, which supports an 18-watt fast charging support.
The Lava Blaze 2 5G has been launched in India at a starting price of ₹10,999. However, Lava is giving away a ₹1000 launch discount, so you can bag it for ₹9,999. It will be available for purchase on Lava’s official store and Amazon on November 9.
On the other hand, the Redmi 12 5G is available on Amazon at a starting price of ₹11,999. It is also available with a ₹1000 bank discount.
