Lava Agni 2S could soon launch in India with specs similar to Agni 2: Here’s when

Lava launched the Lava Agni 2 smartphone in India in May this year. Now, the company is reportedly planning to launch another smartphone, named Lava Agni 2S, in the same series. The new smartphone is expected to launch this month.

According to tipster Yogesh Brar, Lava could launch the Agni 2S smartphone in the coming weeks, reports 91mobiles.

The upcoming device is expected to share many similarities with the Lava Agni 2, with the primary difference being the use of a different processor.

While there is not much information about the forthcoming Lava Agni 2S smartphone, given its resemblance to the Lava Agni 2, it’s probable that it could be positioned within a similar price range and offer specifications that are in line with the Agni 2. The Lava Agni 2 smartphone comes with a 6.78-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Also, this device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor. It’s important to note that the upcoming Agni 2S is expected to pack a different chipset.

For photography, the Lava Agni 2 houses a quad-camera setup on the back that consist of a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide angle lens, a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it features a 16MP camera.

The Agni 2 comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It also supports virtual RAM of up to 16GB. This device is also packed with a 4,700mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. 

In terms of software, the Agni 2 smartphone model runs Android 13, and it is confirmed to receive Android 14 and 15, along with quarterly security updates for a duration of three years.
