OnePlus Two rumored to have Snapdragon 810 SoC, 2K screen and a finger-print scanner

It has been almost a year since the launch of OnePlus One and the company is slowly branching itself into other areas. A recent AMAA post on reddit also cemented the rumor of OnePlus making an AR Drone. But this doesn't mean that the company has forgotten its mobile division. Infact, in an earlier AMAA, a company personnel revealed that the next in line, OnePlus Two smartphone will be available by Q3 this year.

If rumors are taken into account, the upcoming OnePlus Two smartphone will be based on Oppo Find 7. The current OnePlus One however is already based on the Oppo Find 7 to begin with. On the inside, rumors suggest that the new phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC. Qualcomm’s  Snapdragon 810 is currently the SoC choice for most flagship phones for 2015.

We have also come across reports of the phone boasting of  a 2K 5.5-inch display. OnePlus Two is also rumored to come with 4GB RAM on-board . There is very little info on the imaging system, the camera will see a bump, we recon the OnePlus Two will come with a 16MP sensor for the rear camera. The device will be running on OnePlus One’s new ROM based on Android Lollipop, the Oxygen OS. Another rumored feature is the laser focus fingerprint identification system which could come embedded in the home button.

All in all, these specs may sound synonyms to any current gen flagship smartphone in the market. However, the current OnePlus One became a global sensation because of its price, since it was priced at less than 50% of most Android flagship phones of its time. Though, going by the recent rumors on OnePlus mulling a price hike, the price differential might not be in the same range as the OnePlus One and the smartphone could be priced a little higher. We have also come across rumors around the possibility of OnePlus doing away with the invite system.
