The leaker also revealed anticipated specs for each camera. The main shooter of the OnePlus 12 might be a 50MP f/1.7 IMX966 camera (1/1.4 inches, 23mm, OIS), slightly larger than the OnePlus 11’s main shooter.
On the other hand, the ultrawide lens is expected to be a 48MP f/2.2 camera (1/2-inch, 14mm).
As brands are increasingly incorporating periscope lenses with 3X or 3.5X optical zoom capabilities along with high-resolution image sensors, it appears that OnePlus might also adopt this approach with its upcoming OnePlus 12 smartphone.
The OnePlus 12’s periscope lens is rumoured to be a 3X 64MP camera (f/2.5, OIS, 70mm) with a 1/2-inch Omnivision OV64B sensor.
The tipster also recently claimed that the smartphone is expected to come in a white variant with a glossy glass back.
Earlier, it was rumoured that the OnePlus 12 could sport a curved display with a centre-placed punch-hole, the signature OnePlus alert slider, as well as a sandstone-finish black colour option.
Also, the new OnePlus smartphone might house a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with improved LTPO tech, offering a 120Hz refresh rate. Further, the phone could run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. On the battery front, the phone might pack a 5,400mAh battery with 100-watt fast charging support and 50W wireless fast charging.
