The Jolla Tablet is up for pre-order in selected markets including India. The other markets where the device is currently available for pre-order are the European Union, Norway, Switzerland, USA, Canada, Australia and Hong Kong. The tablet is available in two storage variants, 32GB and 64GB, and is priced at €267 (approx. Rs. 19,822) and €299 (approx. Rs. 22,198) respectively. These prices are before the addition of taxes, so the actual price will vary from market to market.
Another thing to remember is that the Jolla Tablets are limited in stock, so if you are thinking of buying one then you better act fast. Also, the tablets will start shipping in late-October, so you will need to be a little patient after you pre-order the tablet.
Talking about the specs, the Jolla Tablet will be unique as it comes with its own OS, called Sailfish OS 2.0. So, it will give you something new to try out if you have gotten bored of all the Android tablets. The tablet also comes with a 7.85-inch IPS display with 2048×1536 pixels resolution, 64-bit Intel Atom processor, 2GB RAM, 5MP/2MP camera combination, and a 4450mAh battery.
The Jolla Tablet product is a crowdsourced project funded on Indiegogo, so if you are among those who backed the project with finances, you wouldn't need to pre-order it, although you'll have to wait for a few months. Otherwise, you can pre-order the same now from Jolla's website.
Earlier, Jolla had also launched its smartphone, the Jolla Smartphone, in India. It is listed on Snapdeal for Rs. 19,999, but is listed as out of stock for now. The smartphone comes with a 4.5-inch QHD display, 8MP/2MP camera combination, 1GB RAM, and 16GB storage.
