A leaked firmware has revealed the JioPhone 5G specifications. However, its launch date is still unclear. With the company planning to roll out 5G services in phases in 13 major cities, it is believed that the phone should arrive soon.
According to a recent report, the 5G phone will cost between Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000. While, the device features a Snapdragon 480 SoC, 4GB RAM, and a 13MP dual rear camera setup. The JioPhone 5G carries a model number LS1654QB5 and has a 'ganga' codename.

The device is most likely to launch in partnership with LYF. JioPhone 5G will feature a 6.5-inch HD+LCD panel that supports a 90Hz refresh rate. In addition, there's a Syntiant NDP115 always-on AI processor onboard as per the leak.
The device will come with an 8MP front-facing camera and a dual rear camera setup: 13MP primary and 2MP macro. Connectivity features includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v5.10, and USB Type-C.
It will also come with a newer Android 12 that is not based on Android Go. The device will run on Android 12 out of the box, pre-loaded with Google Mobile Services and a suite of Jio apps. The JioPhone is rumoured to be powered by a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
JioPhone 5G could come with 4GB of RAM. While it could sport a single 8MP front camera for selfies. And its touchscreen display could offer a resolution of 720×1600 pixels.
