Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are the second-generation flagship smartphones 'Made by Google'. The Pixel 2 will start shipping on November 1, while the Pixel 2 XL will be available starting November 15. The Google Pixel 2 is manufactured by HTC, while LG is building the Pixel 2 XL.

As the Pixel 2 series phones hit the market, many users have reported of issues with the phones. Some of the Pixel 2 XL smartphones are apparently showing a screen burn-in issue on their pOLED display along, and poor colour representation. Some users have also reported of hearing a faint clicking sound on some Pixel 2 devices.

Google has responded to the aforementioned concerns saying that the screen burn-in issue is “in line with that of other premium smartphones” and normal. The company said day-to-day user experience of the Pixel 2 XL should not be affected. Regarding the colour representation issue, the company said that they will be introducing a new saturated mode, which will apparently produce more vibrant colours that many users like.

Google further identifies that the clicking sound issue on the Pixel 2 is due to a problem with NFC on the smartphone. Turning it off is a temporary fix for now as the company says it will soon issue a software update to fix this issue.
