It’s raining phones over at Verizon, leaking Droid 2, BlackBerry Curve 3 and Storm 3

Updated on 20-Jul-2010

While many of us have been enjoying/detesting the current monsoon, it has been pouring elsewhere in the world as well, including Verizon’s office, allowing us to coin a new truism: when it leaks it rains!

So though Verizon just released the mind-blowing Android 2.1 Droid X, we’ve all been waiting for the QWERTY version to come out, which is variously known as the Motorola Shadow or Droid 2. Looks like someone at the top U.S. carrier has been up to some philanthropic sleuthing or unfair spying (depending on your attitude to company leaks), and has posted some decent pictures of the device. Check one out below:

In related news, the same source in Verizon has leaked BlackBerry goodies, saying that both BlackBerry Curve 3 and Storm 3 phones are expected on the carrier this ‘holiday’ season. There’s also information about a 10.1-inch tablet, but whether that’s Android-based or a BlackBerry tablet, is still not known.
