Is this the upcoming HP Elite x3 smartphone?
HP Elite x3, previously known as the HP Falcon, might have a QHD display, 4GB RAM, USB Type-C 3.0 port and water resistance.
Earlier today, new images surfaced of the upcoming HP Elite x3 smartphone, previously known as the HP Falcon. With the alleged images, we also get a full set of rumoured specifications. HP may launch the phone at MWC 2016, its first since the Windows phone way back in 2009, called the HP iPAQ Glisten based on Windows Mobile 6.5. The HP Elite x3, however, is expected to come with Windows 10.
The freshly-leaked images showcase the phone with all-metal build, and comes with Bang & Olufsen speakers on the front. The device is 7.8mm thin, and may support Microsoft’s Continuum feature. As for the core specifications, the phone features a 5.96-inch QHD display, and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The leak also suggests that the phablet will support expandable storage. It is expected have a 16MP rear camera, and an 8MP front camera.
Other features include Qi wireless charging, USB 3.0-enabled Type-C port, a fingerprint scanner (which is not visible in the leaked image), an iris sensor, and a special docking port at the back is also expected. The leak suggests that the phablet will be IP67-certified that will make it dust- and water-resistant. It is also suggested that the phablet might come with MIL-STD-810G rating, which means that it will be able to withstand drops from 1 metre or less.
