Is this the successor to the Xiaomi Redmi 1S?
Thanks to China’s Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center, a new 4.7-inch Xiaomi smartphone has been leaked which could be the successor to the Redmi 1S
The Redmi 1S has been one of the best entry-level smartphones and now it may just be replaced by a successor. A brand new 4.7-inch smartphone was just approved by China’s Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center which resembles the Redmi 1S along with some changes, like the redesigned capacitive keys under the display and the repositioned LED flash and speaker grill.
The handset weighs 132 grams and is 9.2 mm thick which means it will be lighter than the original Redmi 1S. It will run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and will also feature a 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, LTE connectivity, 2MP front-facing camera, 8MP rear camera, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of expandable internal memory. The smartphone will be powered by a 1.2GHz processor, but we still don’t know the manufacturer of the SoC.The new handset will also be available in a number of colour variants including black, white, red, orange, yellow, green, purple, and blue. Hopefully, we will see the upgraded smartphone going official soon.
