iQOO Neo 9 series launching soon: Here’s what to expect

The upcoming iQOO Neo 9 series have appeared on the IMEI database.

According to the database, the iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro have V2338A and V2339A model numbers, respectively.

The Neo 9 smartphone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, whereas the Neo 9 Pro might be equipped with the Dimensity 9300.

There is speculation that iQOO is gearing up to unveil its flagship smartphones, the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro, in early November in China. Also, it is anticipated that the standard iQOO 12 model will make its debut in India during the same month. Now, the iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro smartphones have appeared on the IMEI database.

According to the IMEI database listing, the iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro have V2338A and V2339A model numbers, respectively, reports Gizmochina.

The database was initially spotted by GSMChina. The upcoming Neo 9 smartphone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, whereas the Neo 9 Pro might be equipped with the Dimensity 9300. 

For comparison, the iQOO Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro launched in May in China and features the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 and Dimensity 9200 Plus chipsets, respectively.

Also, the iQOO Neo 9 series will likely arrive with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The upcoming iQOO Neo 9 series is expected to operate on Android 14 with OriginOS 4 in China. According to reports, the Neo 9 series is anticipated to make its debut in the first quarter of next year. It’s important to note that this launch timeframe appears to be specific to the Chinese market.

Additional information regarding the iQOO Neo 9 series is anticipated to become available following the release of the iQOO 12 lineup. The iQOO 12 is expected to arrive in India by November end or in December. Also, it is rumoured to feature a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50H, a 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL JN1 Ultrawide lens, and a 64-megapixel Telephoto sensor with up to 3x optical zoom and OIS support.
