It is that time of the year when Android smartphone companies will start dropping their flagship phones. One such smartphone is iQOO’s flagship – iQOO 13. The smartphone is expected to drop on October 30. It will also be one of the first Android phones to feature the newly launched Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. With this addition, the smartphone is expected to have a stand-out performance. The early benchmarks show that it can be quite impressive when it comes to gaming and performance.
The iQOO 13 will succeed the iQOO 12. The company has already unveiled the Antutu benchmark scores of this device on Weibo, and they are pretty impressive. It reached a score of 3,159,448 points. This makes it the second smartphone to cross the 3-million mark on AnTuTu. It sits behind the OnePlus 13, which is yet to release in India.
By beating OnePlus 13’s 3,094,447 points score on the Antutu benchmark test, it is potentially the fastest smartphone on the market. There are still a few smartphones that have to come with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chips, it will be interesting to see what they offer. However, let’s not read into these benchmark scores too soon as though the benchmark scores offer insight into performance, they don’t capture the full picture of real-world usage.
Apart from the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, it can come equipped with the in-house Q2 gaming chip, supporting ultra-smooth 2K resolution and 144FPS graphics. It can also pack a massive 6,150mAh battery with 120-watt charging support.
Moreover, the iQOO 13 is said to come with a BOE OLED panel with 2K resolution and up to 144Hz refresh rate. For photography, it can sport a triple camera setup, holding a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 50-megapixel 2x telephoto sensor. For selfies, it might have a 32-megapixel front camera.
