The next-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite smartphones have started to roll out. On October 29, Xiaomi launched the first smartphones with this new Snapdragon chip, the Xiaomi 15 and the Xiaomi 15 Pro. A day after, iQOO launched the all-new iQOO 13 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. However, both these smartphones might take a couple of weeks to come to India as they are only available in China right now. In this article, I am going to compare the specifications of both smartphones side by side and let’s see which one is offering more.
Before we start the comparison, let me tell you about their pricing first because this is a major differentiator in this comparison. Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 15 in China at a starting price of CNY 4,499 (approx Rs 53,000). On the other hand, the iQOO 13 debuts in China for Rs CNY 3,999 (approx Rs. 47,000). So, according to Chinese pricing, we clearly have a big difference in pricing. Now, let’s check out their specifications.
The iQOO 13 is equipped with a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1440 x 3168 pixels resolution. This panel supports 10-bit colour, HDR10+, and up to 144Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 15 comes with a 6.36-inch LTPO OLED display with 1200 x 2670 pixels resolution, and it supports 10-bit colour, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and up to 120Hz refresh rate.
Coming to their performance, both are loaded with the all-new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Moreover, both offer you up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage and both also run on Android 15-based UIs. However, in China, iQOO is offering five storage variants but Xiaomi is only offering four storage variants.
For photography, you get a 50MP triple-camera setup on both phones. The iQOO 13 features a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide lens. Whereas, the Xiaomi 15 also features a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto sensor but with 3x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens.
Lastly, a massive 6150mAh battery powers the iQOO 13 with up to 120-watt fast charging support. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 15 is packed with a 5400mAh battery with 90-watt wired fast charging support, 50-watt wireless fast charging support, and 10-watt reverse wireless charging.
