iQOO 12, the much-awaited flagship smartphone from iQOO was recently announced in China and was made available in the country starting November 14. It hosts the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Around the same time, Vivo also launched its Vivo X100 smartphone which packs Snapdragon 8 Gen 3’s competitor, MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 SoC. Both smartphones lie under some similar banners.

The two smartphones were recently unveiled in the Chinese markets and will make their way to the Indian market soon. iQOO will unveil the iQOO 12 on December 12. Whereas, the Vivo X100 is also expected soon. Today, I am going to compare the Vivo iQOO 12 and the Vivo X100 for you so that you can make a better choice.

iQOO 12 vs Vivo X100: Display

Let’s talk about the display of the two smartphones first. On the iQOO 12, we get a 6.78-inch AMOLED display offering a resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels and a peak brightness of 3000 nits. It has a refresh rate of 144Hz.

The Vivo X100, on the other hand, packs a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display. It offers a 2800 x 1260 pixel resolution and offers up to 120Hz refresh rate. The display offers a peak brightness of 3000 nits.

iQOO 12 vs Vivo X100: Performance

Coming to the most anticipated part about the two smartphones, their performance.

Let’s talk about the iQOO 12 first. The smartphone packs the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Furthermore, it runs on Android 14-based Funtouch 14 OS. The smartphone comes in three storage variants: 256GB+12GB RAM, 512GB+16GB RAM, and 1TB+16GB RAM.

The Vivo X100, on the other hand, is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 9300 chipset. It runs on OriginOS 4, which is based on Android 14 OS. Even with the Vivo X100, we get storage models up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.

iQOO 12 vs Vivo X100: Camera

For cameras, we get to see a triple-camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor, a 64MP Periscope Telephoto lens offering up to 3X optical zoom, and another 50-megapixel Ultrawide lens.  For selfies, the phone even sports a 16MP front camera. 

The Vivo X100 on the other hand, also has a similar triple camera setup. Its camera module includes a 50MP main camera, a 64MP  Periscope Telephoto sensor with up to 3x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom, and a 50-megapixel Ultrawide sensor. On the front, we get a 32MP selfie shooter. You even get Zeiss tuning on this smartphone.

Speaking of the price point, currently, both smartphones are available only in China. Both of these smartphones come at a starting price of CNY 3,999, which is approximately ₹45,500.
