As Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, many brands have come up and also announced their upcoming flagship smartphones featuring the latest chipset. Two of them are iQOO and OnePlus. iQOO and OnePlus have announced that their upcoming iQOO 12 and OnePlus 12 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. However, this is not the only detail we know about these smartphones. Thanks to tipsters who have been revealing more and more about these smartphones, there’s a lot more to uncover.

Speaking of iQOO 12’s design, the brand has already confirmed the smartphone, revealing the design and launch on November 7 in China. The design of iQOO 12 might be completely different from iQOO 11. The poster revealed the Red and White colours of the iQOO 12. Further, the camera module is rumoured to be square-shaped with curved edges. Cutting to the chase, the smartphone looks stunning in these leaked posters.
Moving to the OnePlus 12, this smartphone was showcased in Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit 2023. However, the brand kept the smartphone in a big case that hid the design but revealed the front camera at the centre and an ‘Alert Slider’. But leaks on the internet are suggesting a similar design as its predecessor. We still have to wait for a few days to see how the OnePlus 12 will look.

The iQOO 12 is rumoured to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display by BOE. The display could support up to 144Hz refresh rate and have 3000 nits of peak brightness.
Further, OnePlus revealed that the OnePlus 12 will come with a 2K DisplayMate A+ rated X1 “Oriental Screen”. This display is rumoured to have 2600 nits of peak brightness.
Both brands have confirmed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor in the iQOO 12 and OnePlus 12. Furthermore, both smartphones will run on Android 14-based skin out of the box. iQOO has confirmed one more detail about its upcoming smartphone, it will be equipped with a Q1 Gaming chip.

The iQOO 12 will most likely feature a triple camera setup, holding a 50-megapixel OIS main camera, a 50-megapixel Ultrawide lens, and a 64-megapixel Telephoto sensor with up to 3x optical zoom and up to 100x zooming capability.
Next, the OnePlus 12 also has a similar camera configuration except it has a 48-megapixel Ultrawide lens. The rest of the sensors are: a 50-megapixel main camera and a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B sensor with 3x optical zoom.
Talking about their battery, the iQOO 12 could be packed with a 4880mAh battery, supporting up to 120-watt fast charging. On the other hand, the OnePlus 12 is rumoured to have a 5400mAh battery with 120-watt wired fast charging support and 50-watt wireless fast charging support.
