iQOO 12 cameras with big upgrades revealed: A 64-megapixel Telephoto sensor and more

A 64-megapixel Telephoto sensor with up to 3x optical zoom and OIS support is rumoured to be featured in the iQOO 12.

It could most probably be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.

The iQOO 11 series was launched last year in December. The series came with three smartphones:  iQOO 11, iQOO 11 Pro, and iQOO 11S. However, only the iQOO 11 made it to India and was also said to be the fastest smartphone in the world back then. These were the first smartphones to pack the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Well, this news is not new, the iQOO 12 series has been discussed on the internet for a while now. And recently, a leak has been shared online that tells us about the camera upgrades on the iQOO 12 series. Let’s take a look.

iQOO 12 camera upgrades revealed

A known tipster, DigitalChatStation has revealed the camera setup of the upcoming iQOO 12 smartphone. It is said to feature a triple camera setup on the back holding a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50H main camera sensor, a 50-megapixel  Samsung ISOCELL JN1 Ultrawide lens, and a 64-megapixel Telephoto sensor with up to 3x optical zoom and OIS support.

According to this leak, the Vivo sub-brand seems to launch the iQOO 12 with a huge camera upgrade. Last year, the iQOO 11 featured a 50-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel Telephoto sensor, and an 8-megapixel Ultrawide lens. 

iQOO 12 expected specifications

As for the other specifications, the iQOO 12 surfaced with some more rumours and leaks earlier. The iQOO 12 is expected to feature a flat-edge display with 2K resolution and up to 144Hz refresh rate.

It could most probably be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, paired with up to 24GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. It is also rumoured to feature the 100-watt fast charging support. The smartphone will most likely run on Android 14-based Funtouch OS skin.
