HIGHLIGHTS

The upcoming iPhone SE 4 could hit the market with an improved and modern design.

The design of the last two models was based on the iPhone 8.

We could now expect the iPhone SE to look similar to the iPhone 14.

For a while, we have heard rumours that the iPhone SE3 could see a successor. Yes, we’re talking about the iPhone SE 4. Even though not much is known about the phone, even to the extent that we’re not sure if iPhone actually plans on bringing this out, we do have come across certain rumours speaking about its expected design and looks. Read along to find out.

According to MacRumor’s sources, the upcoming iPhone SE 4 could hit the market with an improved and modern design. Further, it suggests that the iPhone SE 4’s design could take inspiration from the iPhone 14.

Speaking about the iPhone SE’s in general, up until now, we’ve only seen three iPhone SE’s. The last one was released in 2022, however, it didn’t see good sales. The design of the last two models was based on the iPhone 8, so a design upgrade was long due.

We could now expect the iPhone SE to look similar to the iPhone 14. But the difference here is that it could hold a single camera instead of the two cameras seen previously. This camera is rumoured to be 48MP and goes by the codename Portland.

Apart from that, there are going to be no other changes. But the single camera will make the iPhone SE4 lighter. Also, with the iPhone SE 4, Apple will finally say goodbye to Touch ID and will use Face ID for this too. Even this will come with a USB Type-C port and an action button.

One of the iPhone SE 4 prototypes spotted online displays a black colour variant.

But I suggest that we take all this with a pinch of salt as nothing is confirmed yet and the device could still be in its pre-production stage.
