iPhone SE 4 to be renamed iPhone 16E? What to expect from Apple’s March 2025 launch

Apple is reportedly set to launch the next-generation iPhone SE in March 2025, but it seems that the company may be rebranding the popular budget-friendly model. According to recent leaks, the upcoming iPhone SE 4 could be renamed the iPhone 16E. If true, this would mark a shift in Apple’s naming strategy for its affordable iPhone lineup.

iPhone 16E expected specs

The iPhone 16E is rumoured to feature a similar design to the base iPhone 14. Expected features include a 6.1-inch OLED display, Face ID, and a USB-C port, which aligns with Apple’s move to standardise charging ports across its devices.

Under the hood, the iPhone 16E will likely be powered by a newer A-series chip. The phone is also said to feature 8GB of RAM. Additionally, the iPhone 16E is expected to have a 48-megapixel rear camera.

It remains unclear whether the iPhone 16E will include the Action button, a feature that debuted on the iPhone 15 Pro models.

iPhone 16E expected price

As for pricing, the iPhone 16E is expected to see a slight increase compared to the iPhone SE 3. Reports suggest that in Japan, the price could be around ¥78,000 (approximately $500). In Korea, it could cost around 800,000 won (about $540 or Rs 47,000). This means that in India, the iPhone 16E could be priced at around Rs 50,000, making it about Rs 7,000 more expensive than the current iPhone SE 3.
