Previously, Apple launched the iPhone SE (2022), which was the most affordable smartphone manufactured by the tech giant. The iPhone SE (2022) comes with a design identical to older iPhone versions like iPhone 8. However, it is expected that Apple could now launch a new SE model, namely the iPhone SE 4. In the latest development, a report has surfaced on the internet claiming a battery upgrade in the iPhone SE 4.
According to a report by Macrumors, the rumoured iPhone SE 4 could feature a bigger battery than its predecessor. The report cites that this battery in the iPhone SE 4 will be the same as the iPhone 14’s battery.

As per the report, Apple is testing the iPhone SE 4 with a D59 battery. For context, the D59 battery was used in the iPhone 14. Apple usually doesn’t reveal its smartphone’s battery capacity. However, some teardown videos in the past have revealed that the iPhone 14 is equipped with a 3279mAh battery. If this battery comes with the alleged iPhone SE 4, then I must say it would be a big upgrade. Why? Because currently the iPhone SE (2022) features a 2108mAh battery. Additionally, the iPhone SE 4’s unfinished prototype was also equipped with the same battery used in the iPhone 14.

Previously, a famous Apple Analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo reported that the new iPhone SE model would bear a similar iPhone 14 design. Furthermore, some more reports confirmed this, claiming that it would launch with a customised iPhone 14 body.
Along with that, the iPhone SE 4 is also rumoured to feature an OLED display and Face ID. The existing generation of the iPhone SE features an LCD screen and Touch ID.
