Apple iPhone SE 4 is expected to feature a number of improvements over its predecessor. The previous leaks hinted at improved performance and a new design. According to the most recent report, citing the Korean supply chain, the iPhone SE 4 will have a single 48 MP rear camera and a 12 MP front-facing TrueDepth camera.
LG Innotek, based in Korea, is said to be the primary supplier of camera modules for the more affordable device, which is set to launch in the first quarter of next year. According to the report, Foxconn and Cowell Electronics additionally supplied camera parts.
Currently, the iPhone 16 comes with a 48 MP lens known as the Fusion lens. The iPhone 16 also has a 12 MP TrueDepth camera on the front, implying that the upcoming iPhone SE may have the same camera setup, according to MacRumors. However, the ultrawide camera will not be included with the device.
The iPhone SE 4 is expected to have an all-display design with a 6.06-inch display using OLED display technology, which is a significant upgrade over LCD. It could also get a Face ID instead of a Touch ID and a USB-C port. The iPhone SE 4 is also expected to have 8GB of RAM to support Apple Intelligence features, as well as an action button in place of a mute switch. The iPhone SE 4 is also expected to be the first device equipped with an Apple-designed 5G chip.
In terms of timeline, Apple introduced the third-generation iPhone SE on March 8, 2022, and its successor is expected to debut around March 2025, according to reports.
The iPhone SE 4 price could be around Rs 50,000 in India. However, we will have to wait for the exact launch date and prices.
